Château Peyredon Lagravette was acquired in the 2009’s by Stéphane and Laurence Dupuch. It is located 3km (about 2 miles) east of Listrac, in the village of Médrac. The estate lies partially in the Listrac appellation area and partly in Moulis. The property lies on the Grand Poujeaux mound, reputed for its geological qualities due to Günzian gravel, which provides deep well-drained soil enabling the grapes to ripen fully.
Château Peyredon Lagravette benefits from an outstanding terroir positioned in the middle of prestigious neighbours such as Château Poujeaux, Château Chasse Spleen and Château Maucaillou.
|Grape||:||63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot|
|Tasting Notes||:||Lovely intense purplish ruby colour with dark tints. It has an amazingly complex nose with aromas of black fruit that are dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It has a pleasant grilled flavour, is very round and rich, and is remarkably balanced overall with elegant, mellow tannin. It has an equally appealing, long finish.|
